Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years, preferred 3 years License: State or Compact License required Certifications: BCLS AWHONN Intermediate NRP Must-Have: Experience with more than 300 births per month Experience in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle double labor assignments Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in a cancellation. This unit is known to be difficult and fast-paced. Experience with over 300 births per month is mandatory. Double labor assignments are a daily occurrence on the unit. The unit will accept first-time travelers who have experience in a large or high-volume similar setting. Local candidates accepted. Skills required include circulating, performing sterile vaginal exams, and competency in immediate newborn care. A minimum of 2 years of experience is necessary to be comfortable in this challenging unit. Weekend coverage is required, with a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule. Patient diagnoses primarily include obstetrical patients who are 16 weeks or greater for all intrapartum care. The unit also provides high-risk antepartum and postpartum care. Scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births and cervical cerclage procedures are performed. The unit operates at a very fast pace, busier than typically expected. Strongly prefer candidates with circulating experience in the operating room. Licenses pending submission are acceptable. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as required.
