Description:
The Labor & Delivery RN is responsible for providing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Daily responsibilities include performing sterile vaginal exams and maintaining central lines.
The RN will circulate for C-sections and assist during high-risk deliveries.
The unit experiences approximately 200-300 births per month, indicating a high volume of cases.
The role requires knowledge of anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy.
The ideal candidate will have experience using intrauterine pressure catheters and possess strong teaching skills.
The unit welcomes first-time travelers and seeks individuals who live at least 100 miles from the facility.
