Description:
Registered Nurse experienced in Labor and Delivery/Postpartum.
The facility has 8 labor rooms, 3 triage rooms, 1 OR suite, and 1 PACU.
On average, there are 4 to 6 patients per day.
Patient ratios follow AWHONN Staffing Guidelines: 1:2 for inactive labor, 1:1 for active labor, and 1:3-4 for couples.
Skills required include labor management, circulating cesarean sections, pre-op, PACU, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, and epidural management.
Charge nurse and support staff are available 24/7.
Phlebotomy services are provided for peripheral blood draws.
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 within the healthcare facility.
Clientists are present 24/7 for newborn care.
Fetal monitoring and telemetry technology are utilized.
Electronics include EMR, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and various unit-specific equipment.
Floating may be required within the region based on practice scope.
Travelers will be compensated for time spent traveling between facilities during mid-shifts.
Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
There may be a possibility of low census call.
Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.
Requests for time off can be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays.
Shift times are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
Schedule cycles occur every 6 weeks.
Scrub color is hospital-issued green.
