Type of equipment used includes EFM, beds, pumps, etc. Documentation systems in use are Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect. Scheduling requires working 3 twelve-hour shifts. Floating policy involves floating to other units as helping hands, sitters, or in virtual roles. Patient experience is a top priority. Advanced skills needed include procedures performed on unit such as versions, circumcisions, and C-sections. Optional certifications include STABLE and PALS.
