Description:
This is a contract position for an RN in the Antepartum/Labor and Delivery unit.
The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The role will involve utilizing labor and delivery RNs to work in their Antepartum unit.
The position requires rotating weekends and nights with no call.
The unit has a total of 24 beds.
There are 26 staff members, including 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 clerk during the day.
No Patient Care Technicians are available at night.
Patient ratios are typically 3:1 and 4:1, with occasional 2:1 depending on acuity.
Equipment utilized includes EMR Meditech and CPN.
Permanent positions are available on the unit.
The best candidates will possess strong teamwork and communication skills.
Dress code includes navy blue scrubs.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips.
Candidates should be team-oriented and have good communication skills.
