Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Travel Contract)

Start Date: December 2, 2025
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, experience with high-risk obstetric care, and a commitment to supporting mothers and newborns through all stages of labor, delivery, and recovery.

You’ll join a collaborative, patient-centered team providing exceptional care in a fast-paced L&D environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients.

  • Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk and multiple gestations.

  • Manage and monitor patients receiving magnesium sulfate, oxytocin (Pitocin), and other obstetric medications.

  • Perform external and internal fetal monitoring (EFM and IUPC).

  • Support neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn care, including APGAR scoring and stabilization.

  • Administer medications and manage IV therapy per physician orders.

  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and NICU teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.

  • Accurately document patient care and outcomes using the EPIC charting system.

  • Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required.

  • Orientation: 36 hours provided.

  • Float Requirement: Yes, as needed.

  • Scrub Color: Navy bottoms; navy or white tops.

  • Locals: Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility.

  • Patient Population: Pregnant and postpartum patients at any gestational age, including triage and recovery.
