Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Labor and Delivery Specialty: RN Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 AM - 07:00 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Critical thinking skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Will be required to work up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays as needed per department needs. Labor and Delivery nurses provide critical care to expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth. They monitor maternal/fetal vital signs, manage pain (including epidurals), assist with vaginal or surgical deliveries, and educate families on postpartum recovery. Traveler will be required to work up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays as needed per department needs.
