Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D RN)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Contract: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 08/24/2026
Shift: Nights – 3×12 Hours (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
Job Summary
Join a nationally recognized 407-bed acute care hospital in Anchorage, AK. We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit utilizing Epic EMR. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment caring for mothers and newborns while supporting complex obstetric cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using external and internal fetal monitoring.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, and cesarean sections.
- Circulate and recover C-sections while ensuring patient safety and quality care.
- Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, insulin drips, and antihypertensives.
- Perform newborn assessments, neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, and postpartum education.
- Document patient care accurately using Epic.
Requirements
- Active Alaska RN License (required for Auto Offer; pending license accepted for screening)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and NRP required
- Charge Nurse experience preferred (or willingness to train)
- First-time travelers accepted

- Average 7 deliveries per day, with up to 14 high-risk patients including inductions and antepartum cases
