Registered Nurse - Acute Care
Job Details:
• Collaborate with healthcare team using evidence-based practice
• Demonstrate accountability and respect for patients, families, and coworkers
• Provide safe and optimal patient outcomes
• Promote continuity of care through effective communication with interdisciplinary team and family
• Direct the work of support staff in provision of care
• Perform general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision
• Work with age-specific populations including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Graduate of an accredited RN program required; BSN preferred
• Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN in good standing required
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required (new employees must certify within 3 months)
• Current ACLS certification required
• Nursing experience in acute care setting preferred
• Must demonstrate high degree of empathetic listening skills and effective verbal communication
• Basic computer knowledge required
• Technical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment required
