Labor and Delivery Nurse in North Carolina. This position involves coordinating and delivering patient care within a hospital setting, adhering to nursing standards and policies. The role requires providing competent clinical nursing care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Director, with a focus on patient advocacy and safety.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, Minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 08/24/2026

  • Required Qualifications:

    • Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of the compact states by the day of clinical care
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
    • Intermediate certification from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required
    • One (1) year of experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care inpatient hospital setting preferred but not required
    • Specialty in Labor and Delivery (L&D) required
    • Training and certification opportunities will be provided for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) in some units
  • Additional Information:

    • The Nurse is responsible for administering patient care in accordance with physician orders, policies, and procedures.
    • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
    • Assesses discharge needs and communicates effectively with patients and families.
    • Ensures infection control standards and competency in all required skills, completing annual assessments.
    • Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment and develops clinical and operational excellence.
