Job Summary:
The specialty of Post Partum Floor nursing is available at a healthcare facility location in Charleston, South Carolina. The position involves providing high-quality nursing care to postpartum patients, following established standards and practices in alignment with the state nursing practice act. This role requires application of professional nursing theory and ensuring patient safety and comfort during recovery.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, working every other weekend, with potential to work holidays and float to other facilities as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holding a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State; at least one year of experience in Mother Baby Couplet care; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification; NRP certification required within six months of hire; graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree preferred.
- Work Demands/Environment: Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping; frequent lifting/moving of patients up to 50 lbs; exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue; may be required to work weekends/holidays; work under stressful conditions with deadlines.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week; start date August 24, 2026.
