DAY-SHIFT LABOR & DELIVERY RN CONTRACT – MIDWEST ACUTE CARE MEDICAL CENTER

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse in Rochester, Michigan. Operating within the LDRPN (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, Neonatal) unit at a premier regional medical center, this position features a structured 3x12 daytime schedule (07:00 AM - 19:30 PM / 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM). PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,344.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,372.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $27.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $40.50/hr (Overtime billed after 48 hours)

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:30 PM / 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • Weekend Requirements: Dedicated every-weekend coverage expectation.
  • On-Call Requirements: Standby call rates apply at $5.00/hr ($135.82/hr call-back rate).
  • Clinical Scope & Responsibilities: Delivers leadership in coordinating compassionate perinatal care using the nursing process (assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation). Manages labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patient populations. Oversees patient/family education, interdisciplinary communication, variance management, and care delegation.
  • EMR & Specialized Systems: Hands-on experience with both Epic EMR and OBIX fetal monitoring systems is required.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical inpatient Labor & Delivery RN experience is strictly required.
  • Licensure: Active Michigan State Board of Nursing License must be active and in-hand at the time of submission.
  • Certifications Required: Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) credentials are mandatory.
