Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Dallas, Texas. This position involves providing high-risk obstetrical care on a high-volume womens hospital unit. The role includes managing labor and delivery processes, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery, with a focus on high-risk patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; 2 years or more of experience in high-risk labor and delivery; certifications in high risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in cesarean sections in the labor and delivery area, and recovering high acuity patients.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal monitoring and advanced skills in obstetric procedures.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to antepartum unit within Womens hospital.
- Additional Information: The unit is a high-risk obstetrical unit with approximately 24 beds and staffing ratios of 2:1 and 3:1. Equipment includes GE fetal monitors; documentation is managed through Meditech and CPNS systems. The role demands adherence to strict dress code policies, including clean and healthy nails, neat hair, and proper coverage of body art and piercings.
