Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Santa Monica, California. This position involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and their newborns. The role requires professional expertise in managing obstetric patients and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: California state license (must be in hand), BLS certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, local candidates accepted
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a Level I trauma obstetric unit, experience with electronic charting systems, pediatric and postpartum care skills
Additional Information: Candidates should have at least one year of recent clinical experience in labor and delivery, strong patient assessment skills, and the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously. Must be willing to work a minimum of three holidays during the contract period. Certification in fire safety within the last 30 days is required. References for at least 6 months of clinical work within the last three years are necessary. Candidates are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed.
