The RN provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process and nursing trends. They ensure effective use of technology and resources while adhering to the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include performing all duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service. The RN implements procedures and theories related to their area of practice. They maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided. Completing initial assessments upon patient admission, the RN develops appropriate plans of care. The RN implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Plans of care are modified based on continuous evaluation. The RN takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents. They communicate effectively to resolve issues with colleagues. Constructive feedback is offered to assist in the professional development of peers. Identifying their own learning needs, the RN takes initiative to seek appropriate solutions. They fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies. Specific job functions include administering medications necessary for procedures. The RN manages care of patients during moderate sedation. They monitor hemodynamics throughout procedures. Outline documentation of procedure events is provided. Understanding the use of supplies and equipment for various procedures is essential.
