License: Current RN licensure Certifications: Current CPR certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification, National Institute Healthcare Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, cardiovascular intervention experience. Description: We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for this opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Interventional Radiology. This position involves day shifts with an on-call rotation, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. The candidate must have an active RN license and relevant certifications upon hire. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, with education verification required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Ensures all documentation is accurate and comprehensive according to established standards of care for documentation. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care based on the patient’s individualized needs. Utilizes resources available to teach and support patient and family education. Provides education to the appropriate level of understanding. Participates in performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Acts to resolve system breakdowns and engages self and others in providing solutions. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, manages complex situations, and delegates to other staff appropriately. Escalates to the appropriate chain of command as needed.
