Location: Germantown, Tennessee
Job Type: Travel Contract | Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)
Shift: Days (4×10-Hour Shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced procedural environment. The RN will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, and committed to excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
Perform pre-procedure assessments, patient education, and informed care coordination.
Monitor patients throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Administer medications, moderate sedation, intravenous therapies, and emergency interventions as ordered and within scope of practice.
Continuously assess and document patient responses before, during, and after procedures.
Assist physicians during interventional procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
Monitor and manage vascular access devices and post-procedure recovery.
Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with all regulatory and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a Compact Multistate RN License.
Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology or closely related procedural nursing experience.
Previous travel nursing experience with at least one completed travel assignment.
Current and unrestricted driver's license.
Strong knowledge of procedural nursing, patient monitoring, vascular access management, and emergency response.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of recent Interventional Radiology nursing experience.
Experience using Epic electronic medical records.
Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center or acute care procedural setting.
Schedule
13-week travel contract
40 hours per week
Four 10-hour day shifts
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Rotating weekend call required.
On-call participation is required, including approximately one weekend call rotation every four weeks.
Additional Information
First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have more than three years of recent specialty experience.
Candidates must reside outside the local travel radius to be eligible for this assignment.
Floating may be required to comparable units or nearby campuses based on staffing needs and clinical competency.
Annual influenza vaccination is required.
COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this assignment.
