Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Active Illinois license required to apply or active application with ETA Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience required - Experience with Cerner charting system required - Preferred experience in a Level II trauma center Description: Position as an Interventional Radiology RN. Shifts scheduled for days from 06:30 to 17:00. Will work every third weekend. On-call requirements include 1 primary and 1 secondary night per week. Will float within scope to meet facility needs as required. Candidates must be open to discussing and accommodating block schedule requests with the manager. Must have experience in Interventional Radiology procedures including but not limited to Angioplasty, Chemoembolization, and Liver Biopsy. Daily census in the unit is around 20 patients with various diagnoses. Team-oriented environment with interdisciplinary support including IV teams and rapid response teams. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced, high-demand unit setting. All candidates must be able to adhere to compliance requirements and complete all necessary training. No more than 5 days of requested time off is ideally permitted. Emergency certifications, such as ALS and BLS, are mandatory. Strong clinical skills, including IV maintenance and procedural sedation monitoring, are essential. Candidates must be prepared for possible floating to nearby facilities or departments as needed. Ability to work collaboratively within a team is vital for success in this role. Experience in vital sign monitoring and infection prevention protocols is expected. Work schedule may include holidays, with candidates required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment.
