Description:
This position is for a registered nurse specializing in interventional radiology.
The unit performs a targeted average of 16 cases per day across three interventional radiology rooms.
Registered nurses will provide pre and post coverage in the Radiology Pre Post Unit as needed.
The expected schedule is Monday through Friday, with 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30.
Call requirements include being on-site within 30 minutes when called, with backup scheduling.
During scheduled call days, nurses may work from the end of their shift until 07:00 the next day.
Weekend call is also part of the rotation.
This role involves work with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Candidates should have experience with various patient diagnoses, as this is a tertiary care center.
The unit emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory services and pharmacy.
Understanding of circulatory procedures and management is preferred.
Candidates must be willing to float within or near the facility as needed.
On-call responsibilities may include handling emergencies and completing end-of-day tasks.
All hiring procedures will follow established protocols for compliance.
Additional training might be necessary depending on individual qualifications.
