Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days and Nights) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend (Friday–Sunday) | Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Intermediate Care / Medical-Surgical unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Manage a diverse patient population including stable, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke patients
- Administer and monitor insulin drips and other primary patient care interventions
- Float to all inpatient units as needed, with potential to float to other regional facilities within the south region
- Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing tasks independently and adapting to frequent change
Required Qualifications- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU setting
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
Preferred Experience / Skills- At least one completed travel nursing contract
- Experience with telemetry monitoring
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
