Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Stevens Point, WI

Contract (13 Weeks) | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days/Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Intermediate Care/Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Manage a diverse patient population including stable, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke patients
• Administer and monitor insulin drips and other primary patient care interventions
• Float to other inpatient units within the facility and potentially to additional regional facilities as needed
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing tasks independently and adapting to census-driven scheduling changes including on-call assignments

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU setting
• At least one previously completed travel nursing contract required — no first-time travelers

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage change resiliently, and thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced unit environment

• Gain experience across a broad range of high-acuity intermediate care specialties in a supportive regional healthcare setting
• Guaranteed hours per week with call-back pay eligibility when returning from low-census on-call status
