    Job Title

    Travel RN – Cardiac Med Intermediate (Stepdown) – Nights

    Location

    Saint Louis, MO

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 16-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a 32-bed Cardiac Stepdown unit
    • Monitor and manage patients including post-op CABG/Valve, Thoracotomies, Respiratory Failure, and Chest Pain presentations
    • Operate and monitor unit-specific equipment including chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAPs
    • Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
    • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
    • Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license – must be eligible for or currently hold licensure in the state of Missouri
    • Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Stepdown experience
    • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Flu vaccination (or approved exemption) required November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NIHSS certification preferred
    • Experience with chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAP management
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player and contribute to a positive unit culture
