Key Responsibilities- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Stepdown / Progressive Care unit setting
- Manage a patient assignment of 1:5 to 1:6 on night shift, with charge nurses factoring in each nurse's level of cardiac experience when making assignments
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system to document and coordinate patient care
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of current Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care experience (within the past 24 months)
- Active Illinois RN license at time of submission
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR (required)
- Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC (required)
- Current ACLS certification through AHA or ARC (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Active Iowa RN license or eligibility
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
- Skills checklist specific to Stepdown / Progressive Care discipline
