Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Rock Island, IL

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Manage and care for patients requiring progressive and stepdown-level monitoring including cardiac telemetry
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
• Manage and maintain specialized equipment and interventions including chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed

• Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience in a relevant clinical setting
• Active Illinois RN state license required; Iowa RN state license required upon offer
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Experience with medication titration including vasoactive and cardiac drips

• Cardiac and open heart experience strongly preferred
• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed

• Work at a Level 1 trauma center offering a high-acuity, dynamic clinical environment ideal for experienced travel nurses
• Gain experience within a well-established health system utilizing EPIC EMR across multiple campuses
