Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Rock Island, IL

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Contract | Days | Onsite | Full-Time

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Provide nursing care to patients in a Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Manage and monitor patients requiring chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drip medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required) and Iowa (required upon offer)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Experience administering and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drip medications

• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR

• Work at a Level 1 Trauma Center in the Quad Cities region, gaining exposure to a high-acuity, dynamic clinical environment
