Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Omaha, NE

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Omaha, NE

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts | Days (0630–1830) | Every Other Weekend Required

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with diagnoses including CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and generalized weakness
• Administer and manage common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
• Participate in hourly rounding and maintain a strong focus on patient responsiveness and experience

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Telemetry competency
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps
• Ability to pass a required skills-based orientation exam with a minimum score of 90%

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
• Familiarity with PCA pump management and cardiac drip administration
• Ability to float to medical-surgical units as needed based on census and staffing demands

• Work alongside a collaborative, close-knit team supported by a multidisciplinary staff including educators, care managers, social workers, dieticians, and PT/OT professionals
