    Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 55-bed unit
    • Monitor and manage adult patients presenting with diagnoses including CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and weakness
    • Administer and manage common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin
    • Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
    • Conduct hourly rounding and maintain a strong focus on patient responsiveness and experience
    • Float to medical-surgical areas as needed based on unit census and staffing needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
    • Telemetry competency
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Experience with Alaris IV pumps
    • Ability to pass a required open-book skills examination with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience
    • Familiarity with mechanical lift equipment
    • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
