    Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 55-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) serving an adult population with diagnoses including CVA, TIA, subdural hematoma, shortness of breath, and general weakness
    • Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio while managing telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
    • Administer and monitor common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin
    • Perform hourly rounding and maintain a strong focus on patient responsiveness and experience
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, CNAs, care managers, social workers, dieticians, and PT/OT
    • Float to medical-surgical areas as needed based on unit census and staffing needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
    • Telemetry competency
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Experience with Alaris IV pumps
    • Ability to pass a required open-book skills examination with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced unit environment
    • Experience floating to medical-surgical units
