Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Location

Morgantown, WV

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Weekend and holiday rotation required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed stepdown unit serving trauma, general medical/surgical, and complex patient populations within a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Perform continuous hemodynamic monitoring and basic EKG interpretation for all monitored patients across the unit
  • Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips including cardizem, labetalol, and amiodarone in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
  • Manage respiratory-compromised patients including those requiring BiPAP, CPAP, and chronic or non-weaning ventilator support
  • Deliver specialized care to patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic fractures, microvascular free flaps, and complex wound management
  • Participate in floating rotation and maintain compliance with unit dress code (royal blue scrubs)
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing
  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to titrate drips in a stepdown or higher-acuity setting
  • Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Basic EKG interpretation skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in a stepdown, PCU, or IMC setting with a trauma or complex medical/surgical patient population
  • Familiarity with BiPAP, CPAP, and chronic ventilator management
  • Experience with advanced diabetic management and reconstructive or plastic surgery patient care
