Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with some weekends required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit setting with varying patient acuity levels
- Maintain a standard patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 during emergencies
- Perform IV insertions and continuous telemetry monitoring, including strip reading
- Utilize electronic medical records system (Cerner) for accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to manage Progressive Care and Telemetry-level patients
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in West Virginia or a valid Compact RN license (pending license considered)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience overall
- At least 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical / Telemetry and 2 years of experience in a Stepdown unit
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry strip reading
- Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references within the past 2 years
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with Progressive Care or Telemetry patients in a higher-acuity environment
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Prior travel nursing experience is a plus but not required
