Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Step-Down

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | On-Site | Weekends Required (Every Other)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Step-Down unit within a short-term acute care facility
- Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
- Monitor and manage patients at a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Float between units as needed to support staffing requirements across the facility
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Document all patient care activities accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
Required Qualifications- Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
- Demonstrated IMC (Intermediate Care) experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system (hard requirement)
- Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips (hard requirement – mandatory)
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center environment
- Familiarity with Step-Down or PCU patient populations and acuity levels
- Strong adaptability and willingness to float between sister facilities as needed
