Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care across multiple PCU/IMC units within a regional float zone covering a 60-mile radius, including facilities serving General, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, Ortho, Trauma, ED Obs, and other specialty populations. Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, neurological disorders, post-surgical recovery, oncology, renal/urology, gynecology, psych/detox, and general medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple PCU/IMC units within a regional float zone covering a 60-mile radius, including facilities serving General, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, Ortho, Trauma, ED Obs, and other specialty populations
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips and infusions including dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amiodarone, ativan, insulin, and heparin
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, neurological disorders, post-surgical recovery, oncology, renal/urology, gynecology, psych/detox, and general medicine
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 based on patient acuity; work alongside designated charge nurses and nurse aides
• Adapt to two scheduling formats: facility-specific weekly assignments or Just-In-Time (JIT) assignments communicated 1–2 hours before shift start
• Fulfill weekend requirements (6–9 shifts per 6-week schedule) and participate in holiday rotation as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated experience managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin infusions, including titration
• Ability and willingness to float to multiple facilities within the assigned 60-mile zone throughout the duration of the assignment
• Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a neuro nursing environment
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
• Experience working with RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
