Operate and monitor unit equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, and suction devices.
Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Multi Trauma PCU unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage complex trauma patients including those requiring chest tubes, tracheostomies, and suction
Operate and monitor unit equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, and suction devices
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, physicians, and patient care technicians on the night shift
Document patient care accurately using the facility's EMR system (Meditech / CPN)
Required Qualifications
Active RN license with a minimum of 1–2 years of current acute care hospital PCU experience
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Demonstrated ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, tracheostomies, and suctioning
Preferred Experience / Skills
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Prior experience with Meditech EMR
Experience in a Level 1 trauma center environment
