Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown unit setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
- Document patient assessments, care delivered, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure eligibility
- Current BLS certification required
- Prior experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit setting
- Ability to work every third weekend as part of the regular schedule
- Availability for assigned holiday shifts including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
Preferred Experience / Skills- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced environment
