Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Cardiac Progressive Care)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekend Rotation and Holidays as Needed | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care unit operating 24/7, with rooms remotely monitored by a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department
• Care for cardiac patients including those with Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, arrhythmias, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, rule-out myocardial infarction, syncope, and pacemaker placement
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, including titration, and administer procedural sedation
• Perform telemetry monitoring, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and oversee peripheral and PICC line care
• Manage respiratory patients (e.g., COPD, pneumonia) utilizing external CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy management as a secondary focus
• Participate in self-assisted scheduling through Optilink across 6-week scheduling periods, with assignments based on departmental need, patient work intensity, and skill mix

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac PCU setting; comfort with 1:4 ratios (drips/BiPAP) and 1:5 ratios required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed; study materials not provided)
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted); current driver's license required at submission to confirm address

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Experience with Rapid Response Teams preferred
