Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed telemetry and cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac catheterizations, EP studies, pacemakers, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH, COVID/BiPAP, and acute-on-chronic conditions
- Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine
- Independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and telemetry monitors
- Manage patients at PCU-level care when overflow occurs, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (1:3 for PCU-level, 1:4–5 general)
- Operate and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment including BiPAP, trachs, and Airvo/high-flow devices
- Float as needed to PCU, medical-surgical units, and ER holding areas based on unit needs
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Demonstrated PCU experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
- Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Epic electronic health records
- Background in telemetry or cardiac nursing
- Familiarity with BiPAP, tracheostomy care, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems
