    Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a combined IMC/PCU and Med-Surg environment with an average census of 8 patients across 12+ beds
    • Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Levo, Cardizem, Dobutamine, and other pressors as appropriate to unit level
    • Read and interpret telemetry strips independently, as remote tele monitoring support is provided
    • Participate in team nursing model alongside LPN staff, managing a combined patient load as assigned
    • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Cerner EMR
    • Assist with charge nurse responsibilities when requested and float to other areas such as the ED for tasking or holding patients as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of PCU experience (Med-Tele experience alone is not sufficient; prior ICU experience also accepted)
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
    • Proficiency with Cerner EMR is required
    • Ability to read and independently interpret telemetry strips
    • Willingness to work every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and 2 out of 3 holidays
    • Ability to participate in low-census on-call rotation with a 45-minute response time
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior ICU experience with exposure to vasoactive drip titration
    • Comfort stepping into a charge nurse role when needed
    • Willingness to float to the ED for tasking or to accept hold patients, reducing likelihood of low-census call
    • Travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers and travel duos are accepted
