Job Title
Travel RN – Cardiac Step-Down (IMC/PCU)
LocationAsheville, North Carolina
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 15-bed Cardiac Step-Down unit with a 3–4:1 RN-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and manage patients post-EP lab and post-cath lab procedures
- Operate and manage telemetry monitoring, sheaths, and intravenous drips (gtts)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge RNs and Patient Care Technicians during night shift
- Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
- Float to all Med-Surg and Step-Down units as needed per staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, IMC, or Step-Down setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, sheath management, and IV drip administration
- Availability to work 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior charge nurse experience in a cardiac or step-down environment
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Background in post-EP lab or post-cath lab patient care
