Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 (up to 5:1 when stretched)
- Perform neurological and spinal assessments, including C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
- Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, and feeding tube placement
- Administer blood transfusions and monitor patients on IV pump and PCA therapy
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management
- Float to stepdown and medical-surgical units as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Neuro and trauma care experience
Preferred Experience / Skills- Strong background in neurological and trauma patient populations
- Experience with Skylift, patient lifts, and tracheostomy care
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
