Key Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions and develop, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans in a critical care setting
- Treat wounds, administer intravenous fluids and medications, and provide advanced life support
- Monitor and record patient vital signs; ensure proper function of ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment, including ventilator and IABP adjustments
- Assist physicians with procedures and perform suctioning as needed
- Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards and protocols
- Provide education and support to patient families and serve as a patient advocate
Required Qualifications- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience caring for pre- and post-operative critical care patients
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
