Job Title: Registered Nurse I Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: Direct Hire Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Critical Care Nursing experience; Current or recent ICU/ER experience required License: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently; Detail-oriented in examining clinical and numerical data Description: The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies and procedures. Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients. Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors. Documents steps of the nursing process. Utilizes proper medical terminology. Addresses problems and monitors progress toward goals. Facilitates patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate. Supports unit and hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities, as evidenced by attending in-services, meeting education standards, and completing variance reports. Exhibits independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only. Coordinates activities of others but does not supervise.
