Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting within a short-term acute care, teaching facility
- Monitor, assess, and respond to critically ill patients requiring intensive nursing intervention
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC electronic health records
- Float to sister facilities within the health system as needed to meet staffing requirements
- Complete all required pre-start and annual compliance modules in a timely manner as prioritized by the facility
Required Qualifications- Active, unrestricted RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 18 months of MICU experience required
- Current AHA or Red Cross BLS certification (must be active at time of submission)
- Current ACLS certification (must be active at time of submission)
- NIHSS certification required prior to start date
- Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) required within 12 months of start
Preferred Experience / Skills- 2 or more years of MICU experience preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
- Familiarity with EKG interpretation and pharmacology assessments
