RN – ICU (Critical Care Registered Nurse)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

• Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness for critically ill patients
• Manage nursing care for patients requiring life-supporting technology including ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, Impella, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Administer medications and critical drips with routine titration in a safe manner consistent with state practice standards and facility policies
• Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, including communication with family members and caregivers
• Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions, managing patients with multi-system organ failure in a primarily MICU and SICU environment with some Neuro patients
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including spiritual care, palliative, and ethics services as needed

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by compact licensure
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with ICU-specific experience required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required prior to direct patient care
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 6 months of hire
• Dysrhythmia competency exam required prior to start (study guide available)
• Must be a non-local candidate; local candidates will not be considered for this position

• Experience with LVOs, EVDs, lumbar drains, Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP, Impella, and CRRT strongly preferred
• Prior experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred
• Certifications such as CCRN, TNCC, TCRN, RN-BC, PCCN, or NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Work in a well-supported 30-bed ICU unit with intensivist coverage and access to ancillary support staff, offering a dynamic and clinically rich environment for experienced critical care nurses
• Contract opportunity with overtime eligibility after 48 hours, providing strong earning potential for qualified travel nurses
