Registered Nurse – ICU (Level 3)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Collect and report critical patient data and lab/diagnostic values to the physician in a timely manner, documenting all physical assessment findings.
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and perform interventions in accordance with hospital policy.
- Advocate on behalf of patients and their families while maintaining open communication with nursing management and interdisciplinary staff.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and demonstrate a professional demeanor in all interactions with patients, families, peers, and staff.
- Float to additional units as needed, including CCU and Emergency Department.
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU and Emergency Department experience.
- Current BLS provider certification (American Heart Association).
- Current ACLS provider certification (American Heart Association).
- Current PALS provider certification (American Heart Association).
- Current TNCC, NIHSS Certification, and Moderate Sedation Certification required.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Cardiac Catheterization procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to float comfortably across critical care and emergency settings.
