Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU at a Trauma III designated facility with a 2:1 patient ratio
- Manage ventilator settings and sedation protocols for critically ill patients
- Perform and assist with unit-level procedures including tracheostomy placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion
- Titrate vasoactive and other critical care medications in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
- Document all patient care activities using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET communication, completion of communication boards, and medication teaching
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency with GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Draeger ventilators
- Experience with ventilator and sedation management and medication titration
- Ability to float in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers per unit policy
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU setting
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records documentation
- Experience in a Trauma III or higher designated facility
