Position Details:
RN-ICU/PCU- Scottsbluff NE
Location                          : ScottsbluffNE
Project Duration          : 13 weeks
Pay range                        : $57- $60/hr
Shift                                   : 3*12-hour shifts needed - It is both a day and night opening.
 
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
  • Monitor patients requiring cardiac telemetry, ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and other advanced interventions as appropriate.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, emergencies, and code situations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based activities.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of recent ICU, PCU, Critical Care, Step-Down, or Acute Care nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
  • Experience with ventilators, vasoactive drips, telemetry monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Previous travel nursing or multi-specialty critical care experience.
