Key Responsibilities
  • Provide unit-based leadership working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff
  • Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment
  • Ensure all patients on the unit receive cost-effective, professional care resulting in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction
  • Maintain the highest level of patient safety across the unit
  • Assess and implement steps to improve the quality of the patient experience
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills or prior supervisory experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
  • AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification
  • AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Five or more years of clinical nursing experience
  • Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
