Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Surgical ICU environment
- Perform and assist with procedures including chest tubes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes
- Utilize strong critical thinking skills to assess, plan, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
- Accurately document patient care activities using the facility's electronic documentation system
- Adhere to unit floating policies as required and participate in rotating weekend coverage
- Maintain punctuality and compliance with badging, attendance, and shift scheduling policies
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in the state of Texas (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
- Minimum 2–3 years of ICU experience required
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
Preferred Experience / Skills- Background in MICU or MSICU settings
- Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Exposure to Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
