Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neurological patients in a 12-bed intensive care unit
- Manage patients with diagnoses including traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies
- Deliver a high degree of specialized nursing and medical care requiring strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making
- Monitor patients via telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed per unit requirements
Required Qualifications- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license – NY license required
- Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in an ICU acute care setting
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification – American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
- NIHSS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience caring for patients with neurological or neurosurgical conditions
- Demonstrated ability to remain current in critical care knowledge and best practices
