Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic, patient- and family-centered care across the continuum of the life cycle, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations in an ICU setting
- Execute the Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Delegate appropriate activities to other patient care providers and coordinate care across disciplines
- Float to other ICU units and medical/surgical units as staffing needs require
- Participate in shared accountability and decision-making to define, implement, and improve practice standards and the care environment
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience caring for fresh open heart surgery patients
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Experience with Impella devices and intra-aortic balloon pumps
